A desander hydrocyclone is a device that uses centrifugal force to separate sand and other solids from liquids, primarily used in oil and gas, industrial, and agricultural applications. It’s a cone-shaped piece of equipment where the incoming fluid is forced into a swirling motion, causing heavier particles to move to the outer walls and then down to a discharge point, while the cleaned liquid exits from the top.
The Desander Hydrocyclone (Hydraulic cyclone) is a device to classify, separate or sort particles in a liquid suspension based on the ratio of their centripetal force to fluid resistance. This ratio is high for dense (where separation by density is required) and coarse (where separation by size is required) particles, and low for light and fine particles. Hydrocyclones also find application in the separation of liquids of different densities. In solids control, the desander hydrocylones are spare parts for mud cleaner, desander. So the common using size is10 inch and 12 Zoll.
